Fear is the enemy of faith and if you allow fear to dominate your thoughts, your faith will disappear. All fear is routed in the fear of death and the Lord tells us at least 365 times in the bible to “Fear not” or “don’t be afraid”— one “Fear not” for every day of the year!
The apostle Paul writes this like he is the race of his life or like he is climbing a mountain that most people would give up on. We must also understand that there are more that don’t want you to make, it compared to those who do. It is like the old TV game shows called “It’s a Knockout” & “Wipeout” where contestants would try to make it past obstacles and the opposition were there trying to distract them and knock them of course so that they would have to go back to the start again. There was the slowly rotating log above the water which may seem a challenge to many but when you add in the opposing team waiting to release their swinging “knock them off the pole” bags, only the contestants who could keep their cool and an eye on what the enemy was trying to do, would make it through. In real life it is exactly what our enemy the devil is always trying to do, and he does this by distracting us and knocking us of the course when we least expect it by hitting us with bags of sickness and disease, depression and discouragement. The more knocks we receive, the more discouraged and weaker we become and the more focus on yourself and less on Jesus, but Heb 12:2 says, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
Now we know from Romans 10:17 which tells us how faith comes, It says: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. But there is a difference between hearing the word and knowing the Word. Faith comes to you by hearing, and hearing by the word, but there are people all around the world who hear the word of God every day who still have no faith or can't release faith. Also seeing something happen like a miracle will encourage your faith and give you hope, but it will not give you faith because the word does not say "faith comes by seeing".
What is the terror by night?Firstly the word terror means ‘extreme fear’. And extreme fear by night refers to bad dreams and nightmares. A nightmare is a frightening or unpleasant dream. So where does fear come from? It comes from hearing and hearing what Satan is saying.
Do you get the thought that there is a devil behind all these recent terrorist attacks designed for one purpose in mind, to cause FEAR.So what do we do as Christians when fear comes toward you? And let me tell you, it comes toward you in many different ways and at times when you aren’t expecting it.The key is to go to the Word of God. Do you realise that this Holy Bible is God’s Living Word?
What Jesus won He did for us, what He conquered He did for us and it is interesting that we have same faith that Jesus had, so we need to look at how He used faith and what He used faith on.So how much faith did Jesus have? Romans 12:3 (NKJV) 3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. KJV as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. It’s time that we realized that we have been given the measure of faith that is more than enough to complete our assignments here on earth and that it is more than enough to meet our every need and everything that our enemy Satan can through at us.Faith makes you unstoppable.
We have to use faith to obtain the promises for God just like the Promised land could only be taken by faith filled words and not by toiling. Hebrews 4:1-2…
Most Pentecostal Christians believe in divine healing, but not many experience healing as a every day occurrence in their world. So many have faith in God's ability to heal them…
