But the Lord said that is good and we should desire earnestly to be used in this area, but you are not applying enough attention to the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit because like a rock the fruits of the Holy Spirit stand under to support the manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Verse 31 goes on to say; And yet I show you a more excellent way.

Desiring earnestly the best gifts of the Spirit is good, but the Holy Spirit wants to show us not just a better way, but a more EXCELLENT way.

The way He wants to show us is a way that causes the gifts to be released with greater power and potency and they remain.

Now if you are weak in the fruits of the Spirit, LOVE, Joy, peace... Hang on, you don’t have to go any further than love, because if you don’t have the fruit of love then the gifts of the Spirit will account for nothing.
