Don’t Let Satan Steal Your Joy (Part 3) He is a Deceiver

Passage: Matthew 13:18-23
Service Type:

Many Christians feel that Satan is out after them personally, but I can assure you he’s not respecter of persons. He only comes for the Words sake.

Satan declared war on Jesus Christ and His body and he has been trying to destroy anyone and everyone who is in the family.

Matthew 13:18-23 New King James Version (NKJV)

18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;

It’s interesting that Satan comes to steal the word when joy comes and joy comes when you receive the word.

21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

This is why Satan comes immediately when you hear the word of faith, so you don’t have time to meditate it and get it into your heart so it can produce much fruit.

22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Who do you think is behind the deceitfulness of riches? Satan who is a deceiver.

23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Jesus conquered death and Hades and the stripped Satan of all his armour, all his weaponry and he took those things away from him so he has no power. Satan doesn’t have any teeth or any authority.
